Employee Spotlight: Kathy Cunningham, Nurse Manager at Paulsen Street Surgery Center

January 6, 2017

This month's Nurse Manager Spotlight is Kathy Cunningham, Nurse Manager at Paulsen Street Surgery Center (PSSC). We chose Kathy because of her great leadership and patience. Many people on the staff said there was no one more deserving. Kathy attended Armstrong State College and graduated in 1984 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She has been married to her husband, Larry for 32 years and they have lived in Savannah, GA their whole lives. Kathy and Larry met at Windsor Forest High School. They have three children, Blaine, Jordan, and Jameson. Blaine, 30, lives in Atlanta with her husband, Will, and 4-month-old son, Liam. She is a pediatrician. Jordan, 27, lives in Bloomingdale with her husband, Doug, and 8-month-old daughter, Harper. She is a medical records analyst. Jameson, 22, lives in Savannah and is in the US Air Force. Kathy's hobbies previously included taking care of her salt water fish tank. With the welcoming of her two grandbabies, that has become her newest hobby. kathy-4-gans-2   Many staff members had great things to say about Kathy: "Great leader and even better person!
