Dr. Stephen Bielsky is a Charleston SC native. He completed his undergraduate degree at Emory University, where he also earned his MD. Dr. Bielsky trained at the Medical College of Virginia and returned to Charleston in 1979. He practiced solo for 13 years before joining the practice of Drs. Sanders, Delporto and Ramsay. In 2006 Dr. Bielsky became one of the original practitioners at Lowcountry Urology Clinics. Dr. Bielsky talks a lot about his family, especially his grandson, Henry. The staff says that he is constantly sharing videos of him doing new things and you can tell that he adores him. His hobbies include swimming, working out and his favorite past time is having a cigar in the afternoon on the porch. Nurse manager, Paige Nelson, says "Dr. Bielsky is a pleasure to work with. All of his patients adore him as do we. Every time he comes to the center, he tells us one of his infamous jokes. If we have one for him, he writes it down on a note card that he keeps in his wallet." It is clear that Dr. Bielsky is loved by Lowcountry Ambulatory Center and its patients.
