Dr. Michael Gilmore and Panhandle Orthopaedics were recently recognized by the Florida Players Network. Check out the FPN Business Spotlight below. fpn-3 UF All-America Football Player A native of Chipley, Florida, Dr. Gilmore graduated Magna Cum Laude while playing as the All-American Free Safety and Defensive Captain of the '93 and '94 SEC Champion Florida Gators. He was one of the nation's most honored scholar-athletes during 1993-1994 and remains one of the top scholar-athletes in University of Florida's football history. He was accepted into the medical program at the University of Florida School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at the prestigious University of Florida Orthopaedic Institute. Board Certified Surgeon Dr. Michael Gilmore is a 2-Time Board Certified Surgeon specializing in sports medicine and neck-to-toe surgical and non-surgical treatment using the latest advancements in the field. He is a specialist in many aspects of orthopedics, some of which include:

His Practice Dr. Michael Gilmore established Panhandle Orthopaedics in 2004, which has quickly grown to be one of Florida Panhandle's leading centers for Sports Medicine and Joint Preservation. His practice has 3 Florida locations in Crestview, Pensacola and Panama City Beach that combine non-surgical treatment, physical therapy and state-of-the-art surgical treatment. Did You Know? Dr. Gilmore was also part of the team of researchers responsible for the revolutionary 'Temperature Management System' (TMS). This system incorporates an airflow cooling system directly into a football players shoulder pads. Cool, dry air flows through the front and back of the pads, effectively lowering a player's core body temperature, and keeping it from rising to dangerous levels.
