Dr. James Robert Malcolm joined AOI this year as a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Fellowship Trained Spine Surgeon. Dr. Malcom received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from F. Hebert School of Medicine after graduating from the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York. He completed his internship and residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC and went on to complete a Spine Fellowship at Twin Cities Scoliosis Spine Center.
Dr. Malcolm has published article on various topics and is a national speaker on deformities and treatment of the spine. He served in the U.S. Army as a Colonel in the Medical Corps until 2002. Dr. Malcom was a flight surgeon and received awards for his service such as The Army Surgeon General “A” Designator Award.
Dr. Malcolm spends his free time with his wife and 3 children in Marietta, Georgia. He enjoys flying, sailing, scuba diving, tennis and wood carving.
