Dr. Erik Nilssen, of Cornerstone Surgicare in Pensacola, FL, is the founder of Nilssen Ankle and Foot Center, also located in Pensacola, FL. Dr. Nilssen has a passion for what he does both in the office and through the AREI Dual Fellowship Program.
Nilssen obtained his undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 1996 and then completed his doctorate at USF School of Medicine in 2002. He achieved his orthopedic residency at McGill University in 2007 and completed his Sports Medicine and Foot & Ankle at the American Sports Medicine Institute.
Dr. Nilssen is board certified by both the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is the medical director of Under Armour, the National Volleyball League, Multisport Performance Institute and Athletes’ Performance Gulf Breeze. He serves as the team physician for Intercollegiate Sports at Auburn University and is an Orthopeadic Consultant for the athletic teams for West Florida University and Pensacola State Junior College. He also consults for various teams throughout the NFL, NBA and Olympic Sports.

Dr. Nilssen has lived in Gulf Breeze, FL since 2009 spends his time with his wife, Allison, two sons, Stellan and Mallory, and little girl, Emyrson. He likes to go to the beach, boat and watch college sports.
