Lowcountry Ambulatory Center is a multispecialty facility that opened its doors to their first patient on February 28, 2014 and from there they have continued to grow, having since cared for over 4500 patients to date. The center has two operating rooms and one procedure room with a primary focus on Urology and Podiatry procedures. Lowcountry Ambulatory Center has an amazing team of nineteen full-time and part-time staff members. The center is owned and operated by fourteen physicians. Lowcountry Ambulatory Center (LAC) is conveniently located in West Ashley off of Highway 61 in Charleston, South Carolina. They offer the latest in Urologic and Podiatric surgical care and is the newest outpatient surgery center in Lowcountry. LAC's 15,000 square foot facility has been designed for a pleasant, comfortable experience for patients and caregivers. Lowcountry Ambulatory Center is Medicare certified and AAAHC accredited. Lowcountry Ambulatory Center offers a broad spectrum of outpatient surgical procedures in the comfort of a new, state of the art facility. LAC urologists can perform a variety of procedures using sedation, regional, or general anesthesia, including ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy for kidney stone removal, circumcision, cystoscopy, ESWL (extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy), prostate biopsy, treatments for BPH (benign prostatic hypertrophy), incontinence procedures, treatments for erectile dysfunction, vasectomy and vasectomy reversal, among others. Lowcountry also offers podiatric surgery using sedation, regional, or general anesthesia. Board certified anesthesiologists and specialty trained surgical nursing staff utilize the most up to date equipment to provide exceptional care in our private, comfortable outpatient setting.
